    Recently after a trip to The Hollywood Farmers’ Market with K, we hopped over to Flore Vegan to meet Jessica and Robin for brunch. We were too late, so it turned into lunch. No chicken and waffles for us this time. I had a avocado based sandwich and smoothie. Afterward at The Farmhouse, Jessica and Robin would get their paws on a couple avocados too.

    On to the pictures.

    To begin with, the cashew cheese and bread plate.

    It’s kind of like a meat ball sub, but on an english muffin. And vegan.

    The Steps

    1. Sprinkle Daiya Cheddar Cheese on one half of english muffin, Daiya Mozzarella Cheese on the other.

    2. Toast in a toaster oven until the cheese is melted.

    3. Break apart (already cooked in the toaster oven) meatballs on to one half of the english muffin

    4. Drizzle tomato sauce on top of the meatball crumbles

    5. Sprinkle nutritional yeast on the tomato sauce

    6. Put the top half back on the sandwich

  3. Vegan BBQ Chicken and Cheese Sandwich

    I made this sandwich for Steve when he was in town for LA Ruby Conf staying at The Farmhouse.

  4. Recipe: Tofurky Avocado Cheese Sandwich

    I made this sandwich for Heather. It’s one of the best I’ve ever made. Made at The Farmhouse in Hollywood, CA.

    The Steps

    1. Sprinkle Daiya Cheddar Cheese on one slice, Daiya Mozzarella Cheese on the other.

    2. Toast in toaster oven.

    3. While the bread and cheese is toasting, slice half of an ripe avocado.

    4. Remove bread from the toaster oven when the cheese is melted.

    5. Spread Vegenaise on top of the cheese on one slice of bread, aioli on the other.

    6. Place four rolled up slices of Tofurky deli slices on once slice of bread (on top of the cheese and aioli/Vegenaise).

    7. Place half of an avocado’s slices on top of the Tofurky deli slices.

    8. Spread nutritional yeast liberally on top of the avocado.

    9. Place the other piece of bread on top of the slice that has the Tofurky and avocado on it.

    10. For bonus points, cut the sandwich in half. Diagonally.
